Kinda busted pump or kinda clogged radiator?

My '98 Mystique (V6 auto) runs hot at idle. I recently purchased this '98 Mystique to replace my '96 Contour that got rear-ended. Noticed that it was running hot so I decided to do a flush and fill. Drained and ran lots of water into every hose and orifice that I could find and replaced thermostat. Refilled to 50/50 and let it idle. It slowly climbed to the A-L range. On a whim I decided to see what happened if I revved it up. Took it to 3K and watched the temp fall to O-R in about 30 seconds.

My question is whether I have a bad water pump or a clogged radiator or some other problem. Heater blows hot air. Fan turns on (not sure at what temp). Water pump was replaced a year ago. Suggestions/solutions anyone?

Its normal for them to stay in the A -L spot normal temp when fans kick is is 220-225 at least in my case it was u can also upgrade the temp sensor from a 99up better sensors

I put a new 99 up sensor and it wouldnt go past N lol so i put the original EO temp back in and running my fans full time and it stays sort of in the middle

The correct way to do this would be to use a scan tool to see what the actual temps are, and when the high/low speed fans are kicking on. Then you would know if there was a problem or not.
