Keyless entry keypad install?

Curious if anyone has done it. Had one on my SHO and Lightning and used it more often then I thought I would. Ford makes a wireless kit, but it says for 2007+ vehicles: http://accessories.ford.com/keyless-entry-keypad.html

I've seen someone on SVTP install one on their '04 Cobra so I'm wondering if it would work on a '99 Contour? Would like to do something slick like this:

Do you lock yourself out often? Otherwise it seems kind of pointless to put a keypad in the filler cap. I agree that it's slick, I just don't see the benefit.

The main reason I use it is when I get dropped off from a night of drinking. I never have to bring keys or anything, just type in my door code and hit the garage remote. Very convenient when you are drunk and not driving.

Im surprised the contour never came with those, seems like Ford put them on everything back then
