Hey guys,
i just put another engine on my CSVT `98 and it doesn't want to start now.
All the connectors looks okay.I didn't put the power steering and the a/c,because i want to start it first and see what goes on.
When u turn the key to start it,nothing happens but the brake light comes on.
It doen't matter whether the clutch is pressed or depressed.
It looks like a sensor to me or a ground somewhere.
Please,help!!!!!

I put the original PCM.I have the new engine's PCM,but i don't have a key for it.
Anyway, when i put the key on possition ON,the light stays for 3 seconds and then turns OFF...i think this is normal, but i am not a 100% possitive.
Any other suggestions?

P.S The motor doesn't turn over at all....

Just silence:)).... nothing,absolutely nothing.

Just checked the safety switch.I don't think there is something wrong with it,because the car used to start before. The cable was pluged in it,so i guess the problem is somewhere else.

Guys please help! I have to start this f*****n car!

I would go ahead and check your ground since the car doesn't seem like it's making any effort to start. Also check to make sure your main wiring harness is secured to the computer and also to the connection by the strut tower. Does your fuel pump turn on when the key is turned half over?

I will double check the connection to the PCM... it is possible to be that.
When i turn the key half over i can hear that my fuel pump works...
If you guys have any other suggestions, please help me!

Check all wiring to the Starter motor. And, be sure the battery isn't just discharged. If it's been sitting around, it could be.

Guys,i checked everything....all the wires and they seem to be fine!!
Is it possible to be like that because i didn't connect the power steering pressure switch...?

make sure you have all the wiring to the battery on there. it sounds dumb, but i lost half of the positive wiring (the one with like 4 red wires on it, and it's got a weird looking bracket that bolts onto the main power cable)

under the battery tray and my car wouldnt start. once i noticed it was gone i hooked that up.

The first diagram is the starter: I believe you are disabling your starter without that wire connected, and possibly your alternator too.

You mentioned a "saftey" switch. If you are referring to the switch on the clutch pedal, and it checks out, then disregard, otherwise verify that the "clutch down" switch is operating.
