It happened again....

I got that with my Pre98. I was finnishing up cleaning my car after school, the elementary/middle school kids get out about an hour later than we did when I was in high school. So I was home cleaning the car, and I was nose deep in the engine bay, stand up to have some kid a foot away from me touching everything on my car. "COOL CAR!" I let him rev up the engine and stuff, primarily because it made a good noise. He had a huge grin on his face, probably made his day.

Weird thing is, with my post98. I get a lot of looks, but nobody really asks me about it, if I get any complements its usualy "where did you get those headlights?" (hightowers), when I tell people that I made them myself, they are shocked. Its not like its hard or anything :rolleyes:

The only time I ever had girls dying for my car, was when I had the Corolla, I swear to god that thing was SUCH a chick magnet. it wasnt a bad car to drive, but I didnt look forward to driving it, So whenever I would take women on dates, I would get the "im so jealous of this car, its so nice and cute" on the way back from the movie, or dinner, or whatever, I would hand them the keys and be like "want to drive back?"

...Bow chica wow wowwww.
 
I get the taurus thing and the escort thing. I was talking to a guy from a shop to see what suspension work would cost, he ask me what vehicle, I pointed. He said "the escort?" boo! I think it funny when tour buddies that aren't car guys asks "Hows the SHO" think there cool cause the know about limited production sedans....."Dude its an SVT!" Gorsh.

I dont witness it very often but my GF says that everyone takes a double look when I pass them on the Highway.. like what is that? I donno maybe she's just being nice.
 
yeah around here i get people comeing up to me to talk about when they owned a contour or a tour SVT and then talking about how great it was...then a pause followes and there like.....i wish i never sold it
 
It happens to me quite often. On my two cars -- the CSVT and the 9-2X.

I just realized I have my eyes on limited production cars. I was looking at the Mazdaspeed 6 for quite a long time too.
 
you should see when i take the bagged car out and pull up to the pump drop it to the ground and flip the door up people trip out :laugh: :laugh:
