So during the past week, my car is having some issues when I start it. It ONLY happens early in the morning when I'm heading to school or work, after the car has been sitting all night. I start my car, wait for the RPM's to go to idling state, then shift into drive (I haven't bothered waiting for the car to warm up, it's been very warm out lately). I feel it shift and it rolls a bit, but when I step on the gas with any decency, the RPM's go nearly to 0, and the engine nearly stalls out. But it's only when I step on it at least 1/4. If I BARELY step on the gas and just ease into it, it's fine. I put fuel injector cleaner in within the last month, but that doesn't mean it can't be the problem. Anyone have an idea as to what this could be? FYI spark plugs haven't been checked/changed since I got my car nearly two years/25k miles ago :o . I'm lazy :p

i would guess fuel pump, or bad gas. my buddy works at a dealership and had a impala come in with literally 1/2 tank of water.......

Yeah...a friend told me it would probably be the fuel pump or fuel filter. Just more problems with my car. And at such a difficult financial time, too.

Sounds like an FPR problem. Check the vacuum hose to it first.

The fuel pressure regulator is mounted to the back end of the fuel rail. A small metal dashpot will have the vacuum hose on it.
