Ok I love the car to death... but it's killing me! I bought it for $200... that's it! It looked great... just could not move. So I bought it, and took it home to my garage. Found out it was the tranny, and I could not fix it. So i had it sent off to aamco to get it fixed. So $1300 dollars later it gets delivered home. Rebuilt tranny and some other goodies to go with the short shifter and new shifter cables that i replaced. So next step was to take it to a garage to get a tune up and well the whole 9 yards... another $926 lands it back in the driveway. I take it out for a spin... drives like a bat outta hell accept when i get on it and shift it kinda bogs down then takes off. SO im like great is the clutch going now!... then "POP"... "WTF!" shifter is flopping around.... popped the clip to the shifter cable inside the tower... the damn cable is brand new from ford! so I pull the console out ( im on the side of the road) push the cable on and limp home. Park it in the driveway and popped the hood to look at the connection under the hood.... hmmm whats that smell... bend over... nice puddle of oil under it! All I wanted was to get it running... now its just turning into a big ass headache and sending me farther into deat. Yall own CSVT's... are they really worth it?

its the shift tower bolt. it sheared off take it out of the trans and replace the bolt unless they replaced the tower too. then it should be under warranty. yes it is worth it just stick in there.

needs the front mesh fixed and needs more jack point!!!!

Hey man,It is worth it!! Stick in there! My shifter tower bolt sheared off back in june an d it is still in the shop. But other then that mishap my csvt has been nothing but good to me.You have to be careful shifting theses cars you can't powershift them or you will break that bolt everytime.Anyways to some it up keep the car, make sure its taken care of and she'll take care of you.

Well, it sounded like you were beginning to think it wasn't worth it even though you haven't spent $3K dollars on it yet. I'm assuming that you only knew about the MTX problem before you bought it? The owner may have held back mentioning any other issues but at the price you bought it for, you probably should have expected a few more things to be wrong with it. The previous owner obviously wanted it gone ASAP. FWIW, the paint looks nice so that saves you some bucks right there.

Its worth it. Any car that has some mileage on it is going to need repairs. Just get these big ones out of the way and you should be fine until you need to start replacing suspension bits.

That, or you need to save up a lot more money and buy a reaaaaally new car.

Shoot I'll go to $429.99...plus tax.
Yeah definalty worth keeping that car it looks cherry, but once you get her running in tip top shape that'll be an awesome car. I wish I had a SVT as nice as that one is. Keep on fixing her she'll be great. To tell you the truth the way you bought it for $200 is a steal.

Yeah, you will get agreement on whether it's worth it from the real SVT fans, and agreement on the selling part fromk SVT fans that want it! You have effort and some $ in it which makes it seem bad but it only takes one angle to show the reality in it, you got it for $200 bucks for cryin out loud. Stick with it, you're still ahead.

What kind of mileage is on it and what kind of shape is the interior in?
