intake

i want to change my intake out with a short ram intake. whats a decent 1 to go with. i saw the Spectre 1's where u basically build your own. are those any good/ what pieces would i need. does any1 with a 3L have an aftermarket intake that they have a picture of so i can see what pieces i need.

Not full 3l but pretty much the same idea just use imagination.

Vaccum adapter kit

Intake pipe (can also get aluminum but my advance carried the plastic in stock)

Coupler X 2

Maf adapter (whichever one you want, I used 81413 and modded the base to work cause i wanted a 3" filter for when i go cold air).

Then choose a filter I went with k&n.

i would prefer this maf adapter because its 3.5 inches and not 3. so it doesnt restrict the maf

ya thats what i saw @ autozone. but i wasnt able to find a MAF adapter plate there. i had my brother in law make me 1 @ his work but im not to sure if it will work. it all measures up fine. it has a 3" opening on it. id rather buy the rite 1 but havent been able to find 1. i how is it have you had any problems. does the vacuum kit seal good or does it need to be sealed around the edges. is there any difference in the spectre & the expensive intake kits.
