i searched the old forums and couldnt come up with anything. is there a how to for the mirko installation cause i dont want to put it in wrong or anything i got the fasteners that are recommended. just need some help on where to mount the brackets and what not.

The point of the fasteners is so you can install and remove very quick and easy. Why would you put the brackets on with the fasteners? Then you are back to jacking up or crawling under the car to unbolt the brackets when you want the Mirko off.

Word.

The brackets are for extra security when you bottom out.. they'll take most of the jolt. The Mirko WILL stay on with just the side bolts though, even w/ triple digit speeds.

so just put two fasteners in it to hold the mirko on? one in each side? does it matter where they go or anything?

It's pretty much where you think they look good on the sides. My Mirko is completely solid with nothing but the 2 fasteners and some window insulation foam to protect the bumper paint.

Picture of mine for reference on mounting the fasteners....

can you post a reference pic of the product or describe the kind/brand of window insulation product you used? I have been thinking of different things to use to protect the paint on the bumper from my Mirko. I was leaning toward felt w/ adhesive backing, but if this works better I might go that route.

Werd, any info is greatly appreciated.

either go to home depot and get the self sticking window foam or go to a craft store and get the self adheisive felt, shouldn't reallt matter .... I got the widest and some what thick window foam from home depot ....

Funny. Mine broke off in a puddle of water at 25mph </3 and the other because of a rear-ending.. woof

In general though, they aren't lying. The two side fasteners should be more than alright, just be sure to get some sort of protective covering for your bumper paint like they are talking about.

well i plan on tryin to mount it today sence i just got home from vacation. how exactly do the fasteners work. do i need screws for the two outer holes on the plate to secure it in?
