Even using a cell phone when driving is a massive safety risk. I have read that it is on par with being drunk while driving.

Texting is worse, because it requires more attention than talking. If you do text while driving, you are incredibly stupid, risking your life, and the lives of others sharing the roads with you, and deserve to lose the privilege of driving.
