IMRC?

I've looked at the cars that 3LDuratec.com has sold in the customer feedback section. I noticed that 2 out of 3 of them have the IMRC in place but have the 3L intake. Do you need the IMRC when you do a full 3L swap? All I'm using out of the 2.5 is the Injectors, Cams, and valve covers.

Just because the IMRC box is present doesn't mean we used it to open the secondaries. Before you get a tune you still need to have the box plugged in and the cable attached to something or you will get a check engine light.

Thanks, just needed to know that. Thanks. I'm going to get a code anyways, we made some custom headers:laugh:(we gutted the cats)

Funny thing about this is that, if you're not using the secondaries, you get more power down low, (up to when the secondaries would be opened), by not connecting the cable & having the CEL on, than you would by hooking the cable to a spring so that the PCM sees the butterflies as being there and functioning properly. At least that's what the dyno said for my hybrid... I suppose a full 3L may yield different results.

Yeah, I'm doing an expierment on the full 3L with only SVT cams. It's going to have a great dyno run IMO. Should be a steady power/torque. i'm so excited.
