not really, my car doesnt look as good as yours, but you stole the thread title I was going to use (wash and wax) You did a great job on your car and I can't come close to matching that, but I wanted to do a budget wash, and walked out of autozone for $46 in supplies. yesterday I spent a good few hours washing and waxing my car, which hasnt gotten a good cleaning once in the year that I've owned it. I decided to suck it up and give her a good bath. Sorry if the pics suck, I'm not a great photographer, and dont know where to take the car to have a nice backdrop, but maybe later or in the week I'll find some nicer spots than my driveway. anyway, here are the results.

she just rolled 113,500mi.

products used:

autozone microfiber mitt (this sucks)
autozone 6pk microfiber cloths (these suck too)
mothers clay bar and mothers instant detailer
meguir's cleaner paste wax
meguir's deep crystal car wash

Looks like my baby a year ago. Where are your fogs??

Great job detailing!

thanks :)

I had the pro burners but I took them out and am going back to stock, but first I need to pick up some screws and nuts for the mounts because I want to replace those awful plastic pins that hold the 2 pieces together. I think the stockers will look good, I went over them with a headlight restore kit so they look good as new. Might do that today if time allows.

looks good!
the sun must have been in just the right spot to make the orange pop like that around the headlights and by the grill

and I thought I had some front wheel gap  do you have the right size tires on that:shrug:

lol yes correct tires. I do have a lot of gap, but not THAT much, I think it looks so extreme because my driveway is very uneven and the car isnt sitting flat in the pics.

I washed, clayed and waxed a T-red recently as well. Except this 4 door t-red had a bed and a 5.4 triton under the hood.

Only took me all day. lol

looks good andrew! i bought the mothers clay/spray pack too, but im still undecided on which wax to use.. plus im still waiting for these 90+ days to go away. how was your experience with the meg's wax??

fine i guess lol, I bought the cheap meguir's wax, it was the cheapest non no name paste wax they had, and I didnt want the liquid stuff. I'm going to put on another coat and see how it looks. it definitely looked better than with no wax(which my car had like none, water didnt bead at all). good luck with yours!

There's something about T-Red contours that makes them look so good after a wash and wax. It must be the metallic in the paint that really makes them pop. Nice Job!
