wat ive been lookin at alot latey... is

40k or lower..
black or silver.
wit sunroof if pos.
black intierior.. or maybe its the deep blue.

under 40k is your problem, if you want that cheaper price might have to look at some with a little more miles:shrug:

its not a problem.. its wat i want.. i was mearly stateing b4 that these cars are way over on the blue book rateings.. an i dont understand y.

hell i can afford to pay for one with those miles..

but i know wat i want.. an thats a low mile car.. cause i want to have it for a while

tough choice here. the focus is newer and comes with a few more goodies than the csvt did. bigger brakes, 6spd trans, heated seats, hid lights, 17" wheels, good stereo, and possibly some more. of course the HIDs and heated seats are only on euro models, iirc.

the newer car will be more reliable, most likely. my brother in law is shopping for one right now, so we've been looking at both. ive seen some NICE svtf for pretty cheap. theyve definitely come down in prices. the zx5, which he's looking for too, are more expensive though.

if its for a reliable DD that you cant afford to have break on you, id say the focus.

i agree. i too was torn between the FSVT and the CSVT when looking for a daily driver. i ended up with the CSVT only becuase i found mine for half the price of all the FSVTs i had looked at. i think the biggest advantage the FSVT has over the contour is going to be gas mileage. i get roughly 23-26MPG mixed city/highway. im sure the focus is much better since it is the 4cyl zetec (i get 26-30MPG mixed with my turbo zetec contour)

if your not worried about gas mileage so much then get the contour. if gas mileage is a concern then go for the focus.

I had an 02 FSVT and can absolutely say it is not an economy car because of the gear ratios. I hardly ever got any better than 27 mpg on the highway. The car would have been better served with the 5spd. The Contour is overall a better equipped car as well.

I'd go with the Contour SVT. I love mine, but it's also as small a car as I'd care to drive. I find it very comfortable, capable, and great looking, though I'm a bit of a big car guy, so the size of the Contour is a departure for me. The Focus, though a good rig, would drive me bats. Though I haven't driven the SVT, I've spent plenty of time behind the wheels of many different Foci, and those models have comparatively softer rides. It's shorter wheelbase just isn't conducive to ride quality, and you've got less sound deadening. I think the intrusive vibration and noise would have me reaching for the door handles by the 60-minute mark.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be a fun car, just not a very long-legged one.

wlep i have found a car...
i am in the mids of talking to the person that owns it... its a 99.. with 109 k on it

they want 8500 for it... its black.. with 3.0 convertion with only 8k on the coversion.

it is a very sweet looking car.. an seems to have alot done to it.

does this seem like a resonable price... i am not sure wat u guys pay for these converted cars.

any info would be helpful.

6000 tops..and thats assuming it has a upgraded diff too. if not,i'd pass, unless you plan on putting one in before you enjoy the car

Owning a CSVT, and driving my buddies FSVT, I'd be torn between the two cars as well.

The CSVT IMO has better styling, but the FSVT has all those goodies that the CSVT should have. The 4 cyl puts down it's power pretty nice. It handles excellent, the HID projectors are 1000000 times better than our junk halogen headlights, the heated Recaro seats are something we should have had, the 6 speed is smooth shifting, and braking power is definitely good.

The FSVT doesn't appeal to me as much in exterior styling so I'll always tend to lean towards the CSVT.

it has some nice mods that i can see, baer front brake kit(1200+)rims,bosal? catback, momo pedals, mats and shift knob...say's it has a torsen..its def'n a nice looking car,and if it does truly have ported heads and the dif(i'd ask for reciepts on things you cant see,lw flywheels, ported and polished heads, limited slip dif's,cams..things like that,if there is no proof i always assume they're lieing:shrug: )
and a 3L its a a good candidate. but the price is a bit high, imho. but i'm not the one looking to buy it:shrug:

just do everyone a favor and get rid of that spoiler as soon as you bring it home if you get it. otherwise looks like a very nicely modded car. i'd offer 6750 and def wouldnt go over 7k but thats just my opinion

personally.. i am not a fan of spoilers.. but i think that one looks ok.

an he will only take 8100 for it.. so ima pass on that one.. plus its gettin 23mpg or so he says.. hell my 4.6 v8 gets better than that.. so ima keep lookin
