where the heck is the intermediate shaft pinch bolt? i can't find it so i can loosen the subframe and then pull the tranny. help please i've decided to leave the eng in and just pull the tranny but i gotta get the int. shaft out first right?
do i just pull the three bolts holding the bracket for the int. shaft and bearing and the shaft slides out of the diff?
How hard was it to raise the car for the clearance to sneak the engine out from underneath?
Well, when you think about it, that's the way the car is assembled - engine/transaxle and subframe - all up from the bottom. In order to do that very easily though, you'd be miles ahead if you used a lift.I didn't pull the motor all the way out I brought it diwn far enough for me to do the headers, water pump and udp stuff like that. If I had to do it all over again I would prefer to go out the bottom with the subframe removed there is so much room to get to everything.
going out the bottom is really easy.....as long as your subframe bolts dont start spinning in place![]()
