I've gone from a 2.5L V6, to a 1.8L 4Cyl, but I'm not complaining, I'm getting MPG's in the 30's!!!

You can proceed to flame me all you want, but I have driven several Corollas of that body style and the new. I think they are a pretty decent car for the money. And I would not complain either if I was getting that kinda mileage.

You can say all you want bout it, but at least I wont be throwing money into it constantly to keep it drivable .
The 'tour was a horrible car to begin with. My dad saved all of the service receipts during his ownership of it. We have a pile 3" thick of all the stuff that has ever happened to it. There were more repairs than regular maintenance. Luckly it all happened under warranty though.
It was on it's 3rd tranny, 2nd balancer in about 4 months, and needed a complete overhall on the wiring harness, when I sold it.

It feels nice to have a reliable car for once, one that I won't have to fix or repair daily.

Funny, I have fixed more on our Toyota after a week of owning it than I have in the 4 years of owning all my tours put together.

If I kept the receipts of any car for 13 years they would be 3" thick. Hey whatever makes you happy.

see that 95 Mystique listed in my signature below, best buy ever ... over 118k that I have put on it has needed little and always run great ....

but good luck with the new car, if you like it that is all that matters

Congrats on the new car. I've always liked those cars. I just wished they had more power. Pretty decent interiors though.

nice car, im about to sell my tour too so i can get something a bit more reliable and gas efficient. but you should probably go back to the dealer and get the XRS with the de-tuned celica gts motor though

hey my inlaws have an 05 corolla le or something...actually is a pretty nice little car, perfect for them and according to my father inlaw they get about 35 or more mpg on their 200 mile trip down here to visit

the interior is really nice considering a corollas origins...and its bigger and roomier than a contour

and a wise person once said....the 'S' is for SIDESKIRTS
