I won a truck!!!!

Honestly Trey, i think you should find a nice low mileage SVT and put the rest of the money into savings.

whatever you do, you need to have a car that we can take down the dragon before i come down there in 3 weeks. i dont want the video footage to be nothing but me following a POS truck.:laugh::laugh:

That crossed my mind as well

ymicz just got one last week, they are positively SICK. There is a ridiculous amount of torque in the low revs for a turbo'd car. It's also really tame when it needs to be and very, very comfy. Mazda also does a bunch of awesome things like a factory warranty'd intake and 3" exhaust that adds 30+ hp.

Hmmm...well that would be a tough decision personally...

Here would be my picks:

A really sweet mustang, preferably a cobra and if I had enough money an 03/04 terminator

A real nice clean T-green CSVT and plenty of overnight parts from Japan

Mazdaspeed3

Mazdaspeed6

Maybe a WRX...possibly an STI if the insurance wasn't too bad.

I say sell it/trade in.
But thats just because I'm not too fond of trucks. I would personally pick up an STI. But again, the insurance plays a big part in that. So really, it's up to you and whatever fits in your financial budget. If your looking for a new car, then do it. If not, rock the truck I guess.

That is excellent!
congratulations.

Don't make any hasty decisions. Really think this one out before you jump into another car.
If you don't have a need for a truck, I definitely think you should sell it and buy something that better suits your needs.
You may want to see if you'd get a better deal by selling it private sale than using it as a trade-in.

mazdaspeed3 is a pretty sweet idea. And since it's a little wagon, you could probably fit the kiddo in just fine.

Sell it and invest the money. That's one hell of a bonus right there, and I'd have a hard time blowing it on another car. Put the money aside from selling the truck, and keep making the payments on the truck you have. You were prepared to make the payments when you bought it, and the new truck was unexpected. If you hit a rough patch in life, you've got that money to back yourself up.

Or, you could put it into a nice fund for your 2 year old's college education. In 16 years, that's gonna be a nice chunk of change.

Sell the truck if you already have one and save the money for now. More bills you pay off now the more cash you have later.

I've always thought Mazda 6's were sexyy...

Or you could just buy a POS civic, swap a new motor, and build it all up, and prolly have a lot of money left over.

Then you're still left with a POS Civic. Like Kim said, don't make a quick decision. Sit down and actually think about what is important to you. What are your future goals?

Trey I am tempted to say lets swap titles for my black csvt but I dont think I could go through with it:laugh:

A windfall like this doesn't necessarily happen every day. You've got an opportunity here to get out of debt. I'd sell the Colorado, then use that money to pay down the note on the current truck. You'll easily be in a positive equity position at that point, so it will then be your decision whether to sell the truck and pay off the balance, then buy something else, or keep the truck and finish the balance of payments.

If it were me, I'd get debt to zero ASAP. Lately, I've been looking at doing a 302 and Borg Warner T5 setup in a Fairmont 4-door, so I'm inclined to recommend something that doesn't carry a car payment. Buy hey, to each their own.

Trey I must agree man, there is no better feeling than having regular monthly bills and no car payments. I have 4 cars currently and 4 titles and its the best feeling man. No credit card debts, no loans nothing. Just the house note, car insurance (paid for the year) and utilities.

I've got the perfect car for you. Bring some money to SZ. :)

... in all seriousness though, CONGRATS! That is pretty dang cool. Take advantage of this blessing to the fullest man!

i agree as well.
i would sell the new truck, buy a nice 3l CSVT and push the balance towards the truck you currently make payments on.
well, maybe put a couple of thousand aside as well, for a "rainy" day.

but like whats been said previously, don;t make any decisions in haste.
