First off, check out http://www.garrett.com. Specifically their Turbo 101/102/103 pages, which explain turbos and how to size them (almost complete -- no info on factoring in compression ratio and timing).
Definitely the best bang for the buck available, where as bolt-ons for these cars will give you 2-10hp each.
