I sprayed the side of my bonnet

I just finished painting the inside of my bonnet.
I used a dull dark grey primer then put lacquer straight over the top of it with a FMOC sticker under the lacquer.
Here are some pictures.

Over all I am quite happy with the result.

not to rag on you but i think you could have done all 3 threads as one.

I keep a couple of sheets of bubble wrap in the boot to cover the filter, the car only gets used in the summer months

(not that it never rains in England in the summer :laugh::laugh

I love the loud hiss I now get by having the vents on there with the filter.



I just want to add,

I am Administrator on the Ford Mondeo owners club UK and I have to say I have never seen such whinging about 3 separate posts about 3 separate subjects on a forum before. We don’t get it on our forums I certainly don’t chastise anyone for it, in fact quite the opposite I make an effort to reply to as many posts as I can.
We are the biggest and longest established in the UK, makes one think twice about posting and sharing things between our two clubs. It could be some kind of humour I am possibly missing here to be quite honest.

No offense to the "english" terms, but everytime you post the word bonnet it makes me laugh. :laugh: makes me think you straped on some funny hat onto you Mondeo!


But the bonnet looks nice with the vents and the forum vinyl! How did you cut those vents? in the pictures they look perfectly straight and parallel, and the contour/mondeo hood is a fairly curved surface.


Oh and how about putting a CEG on under there too! :laugh:

A mate of mine who builds Touring cars fitted the vents for me, he did a top class job
