So I finally went to my local Auto Zone to have my check engine light checked and they said that their store does not do the check but the one across town does.. So off I went and the scan tool revealed 4 codes: PO113, PO118, PO102, and PO125. I changed the MAP sensor, engine coolant temp sensor, and the IAT sensor. The PO125 code is closed loop fuel control insufficient coolant temp. The car starts and runs much better and the codes are gone. Did these sensors also rectify the last code. On a sad note i developed a air leak in the fat hose just after the MAP sensor. A trip to the local bone yard should rectify this. Thanks again

I replaced the cylindrical sensor just after the air cleaner with a identical one. are the 2 sensors similar?

The parts store probably just "generically" called it that. Yes, the sensor at the air cleaner is the Mass Air Flow sensor.

Good ol' Autozone.......MAP and MAF systems are totally different from each other. MAP reads vacuum and MAF reads actual amount of air taken in by engine. MAF is much better, can adjust to more engine changes. Also, if you get several codes, always try to see them yourself, they need to be serviced in the order given as an earlier listed code can produce a problem that sets another when nothing there may be wrong. In screwy instances fixing one DTC can get rid of more than one DTC. Save that cash!!
