I searched for this and saw that some people get a piece of rubber hose with an inner diameter the same size as that green tube from the auto parts store and splice it together. Is this the best way to fix it? I want to make sure that part is not available for purchase before doing a fix. From what I read, you can't just buy that green tube. If there is a better way to fix that tube, let me know.

Thanks.

You are correct. The best way is to buy the whole bundle and put a new one in. The next best is way to fix it is to splice it with a piece of rubber hose with an inner diameter the same size as the outer diameter of the green tube.
