I am not sure if this was covered already somewhere, but i did search and only found references to it, but how do i remove the reverse lockout thingy, that thing pisses me off big time, it is really annoying. Shouldn't we be able to shift are cars without shifting it into reverse, i just want it gone, or just bypass it and leave it there on the stick... THANKS!!

first you need to tell use what year you have because there are do different ways to bypass the reverse lockout ... which was put there for safetly reasons ...

yes, unless you don't install the lockout sleeve on the shifter ....

I differ with this BrApple. I got a B&M with my reverse lockout and everything in place but dont need to use the reverse lockout.

well then your shifter looks like the second pic. to disable the reverse lock out you need to remove the collar and then pull the cable up and find a way to keep the cable pulled up so the lockout stays disengaged at all times ...

honestly I would just leave it alone ...

I have a 99 CSVT with a B&M short shifter. If you install it correctly, you will not loose the reverse lockout. Good or bad dependinging on your opinion. The only complaint I ever had with it was the metal shift knob is cold on my hand, so I put the stock knob back on and the B&M replaces the knob on my lift.
