I believe the engine in the Milan for that year uses VVT which would make it different than the typical engines used in 3.0 swaps. So basically no, I don't think it's the same as the Taurus engine.

Nope. Won't work....unless you like a lot of custom work. Then go crazy

Block is the same. As mentioned the heads are different due to VVT and is not compatible with the Contour/Cougar.
