How long has ...

1yr 3mo, and have already spent over $15,000 between the two I have :blackeye:
 
It has been 15 years since I started thinking about buying a contour. In October of 94 I finally took one for a drive shortly after after my first son was born, (a 95 SE mtx btw) liked it, ordered one and took delivery
12-31-94. Went through a bunch of recalls but it has never broke down and 123,000 miles later it is still my dd. Now the previously mentioned son wants to make it his first car. :rolleyes:
 
bought my first one about 8 mo before I registered here...just waiting for scrap to go up to get rid of my last one :laugh:


I haven't driven one for longer than a month, all cars combined...

You finally sold her?

It began for me September of '98 when I drove my SE off the lot. Some 82k later she left me stranded for the first time. Alternator went out, then the original water pump gave up the ghost a week later. She's still sitting waiting for that to be replaced (this week). It's snowballed into 6 Contours total, 2 SVTs. Time to start thinning the herd though.
 
Found my first one back in January of 01, Was trying to get financing to buy a friends 91 Sentra SE-R and dad suggested we stop and see what the Ford dealer had since he knew a sales gal there. They happened to have a single manual (I was tired of auto tranny's and wanted a manual) out of about 6 used Contours, and it was a V6, SE Sport. Ford were the only ones who'd finance me anything, and I liked how the thing drove, so on January 31, 2001 I became the new owner of a 99 SE Sport with 27K on it. Joined the forums a few months later, and just sold that car last summer, in fact, just about a year ago, wish I still had it.
Also drove a 95 Mystique V6 5 speed for about a year after I toasted the engine in the SE, then made the decision to get my SVT, a poor decision in hindsight as the car had many problems when I bought it that I should not have overlooked, but did. Anyway, 8 years later and all I've driven have been V6 manual trans CDW27's. Still like the things too.
 
This is my 3rd summer with the car.

My story is I got a '97 dodge neon sport (2 door, 5sp, 2.0 DOHC) when i turned 16. it was fun...boy man it was a POS. broke all the time....had it for a year and a bit.
Decided to go with a new car, went and found a 2005 chevy Aveo5, with a SWEET body kit...so i bought it, after having in a bit over a year as well. i became bored. and needed a change (wanrrenty was up too) So i went to look for a mustang...went to a lot, got in a v6 auto (barf) and it would evem start to take it for a test ride, so i look over and see the contour there. I had 3 friends who had the CSVT in the past, and took it out instead to see how it felt.
After being in the drivers seat for 2 mins. I was sold. haha

I still cant part with it......not untill i can afford a Cobra or Lighning atleast ;) :p haha
