that's a good looking car don't get me wrong, but that grille has always been a turn-off for me. just my .02. Paint it Black and it would be .

if you haven't seen it yet, top gear did a little bit on that car, jeremy clarkson considered it a piece of art.

I can see why some may not like it, but its an Alfa trait, so when you see it, you know what it is. We watched a video yesterday of a black one... BTW, I did see the episode of Top Gear and I think that's what put me over the top on this new "sex on wheels" automobile!!!

i've been in love with the look of that car since the first teaser pic came out so long ago. It is absolutely gorgeous. However, I doubt that even if I had that cash would I buy one, since a nice poster or model of the car would achieve the best of what that car offers for a much lower price :D

Granted, I've obviously never driven one, but Clarkson's review highlights a point I've always been concerned about, both in high $$ exotics, and in aftermarket "specials". Bolting all the fanciest high dollar parts together doesn't guarantee that the car as a whole will perform well, or ride well, or be remotely tolerable on the street.
As a good example, I remember when the 2nd gen Viper came out as the ACR model, that was supposed to be stupid fast. To be fair, it was stupid fast, but merely because it had mountains of torque from that beast of a V10. The chassis was a mess though; it could have been significantly faster around a track with a well sorted suspension design/tuning.
Another example is how different two supposedly identical race cars can vary greatly in lap times simply because one is set up "wrong" for that particular track.
An example in the OEM world is some of the Korean "luxury cars". I've driven several of the higher range Korean cars int he last few years, and while they look nice, and have all the right bits listed on the spec sheet, they just never feel like everything has been pulled together into one whole car.

I wouldn't say crap.... It's more "not as good as he'd expect"

He actually compared it a Mustang:laugh:

It may not be the best handling or give the driver the best feel through the steering wheel as previously stated, but well, just look at it:drool: The average driver would push the car to what, 6-7/10ths of its ability and for some, that's probably enough:shrug: and well, just look at it:drool:

Sex! I love Alfa's. I posted a pic about 2 years ago of an Alpha sedan I would have killed for. I'll have to go look for it. . .

it is gorgeous, it does have an amazing engine, it is art. But it handles like crap :(

Do you really think the car handles like "crap":troutslap: I mean, its not going to handle like the Contour that will out handle the Lotus Exige 240S (see the dyno and drag forum and look up "lotus on the top end") but IMO this car is a sports car with a touring attitude and IMO I'm sure it would a smile on the face of just about everyone on any backroads around, trust me!
