Hmm... what could this pile of parts possibly mean?

Scott, there was a reason the header install took so long. It was a sign... I found out that Sunday night a tree branch fell right where I park my car in my driveway... So because it took a long time and I had to stay there Sunday night, my car was saved from being under that.

what exhaust manifold gaskets did you use?

when i installed the headers I used Ford ones and they lossened up.

this time with the 3L I used the fel-pro ones and they haven't come loose at all.

I also used new hardware at the time the headers where originally installed. I forget if I used the 3L studs or not ...

I didn't use new hardware because there was nothing wrong with the existing studs with only 60k on the motor.

The gaskets, I don't know what they were. Nautilus Performance supplied them so I would think they would be decent ones since they know the car so well.

Ryan, when you pull off the plug wires, look inside each boot. See if there is a grey/white line running parallel to the spark plug boot inside. That could be carbon tracking, which caused similar problems in my car. You won't need a flex attachment, just remove the coil pack to make it easier to reach. Don't forget to hook up the ground strap and the radio thingy on the front two bolts that hold the coil pack down.

BTW, just talked to the insurance co., they will only cover $150 for the trees, total. The estimate from the tree guy was considerably higher than that. So much for homeowners. Might have been worth it if it would have hit Pandora.

Is there a way for you to swing by an autozone on your way home? If it is a misfire, the PCM might have stored the code telling which cyl. is doing it. I'm going to try to search the Ford CD at home, see if it helps any. Sorry again, but I'm glad your car wasn't hit by the branch.

I can try an advanced... The closest Autozone to me is in Washington PA

Sorry to hear about the trees... Are you going to lop them down yourself?

Success!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bad plug, but you're not going to believe this...

Will be posting the whole story tonight.

But work called and I have to deal with a problem

The problem

Here is the entire picture page of the weekend with the whole story:

I am going to make a post in Pics & Vids too

Love the pics!!! Love even more that you found the problem, I was seriously bummed about it. Between the beastie in the attic, the light bulb mod, and the hurricane force winds, it was pretty fun, wasn't it????:rolleyes::laugh:

Hmm...Did someone ask for a black SVT in their post? I may be able to fill said gap. Nice job on the header install Ryan and Scott. Too bad about the weather though, thank god I didn't loose power too.
