Girl working the booth at GLD entrance:

"Wow I've never seen a turbo Taurus like that before!"

Me:

"That's because it's not turbo and it's not a Taurus"

Oh, and i ran a 15.0 @ 92.5 with my no-cat pipe on (sounds like total ass, can't waite to have my cat back on)

All my trap speeds were up from my last trip(i suspect because the no-cat pipe allows for easier breathing) and my times should have improved but the wet/cold was hell on traction...had one decent launch all night, track was VERY unpredictable grip wise. One run would bog, same launch next run would be one big burnout through first...no good.

Nice trap speed numbers, Pole. I hope to match them this Fall or next Spring. Just upgraded my street tires to 225-50-16s from the stock 205-55-16 profile and maybe that will help my launch.

Speaking of launches, I see that Hoosier Tire is now making a drag radial in 225-50-16.

I need to find someone to split the cost of a set of DR's with me :) I've got plenty of rims to mount them to.

I thought it wasn't worth posting  ;) LMAO @ the entrance chick. One of the many reasons I love owning a CSVT

And I was able to get my fastest time ever, likely due to the fact that the traction was poor. I wasn't wheelhopping unless I launched at 4k, so I wasn't as afraid to make a decent launch. I still need a lot of practice, though, as my fastest time was still .2 off of what's considered normal for an SVT.

You revved above 4K?!?!?!?!?!?!? wow absolutely amazing!!

On a side note Pole I may be getting in on beta testing a 3 stage chip for my truck 40,70,110 HP ratings per stage :) debating still. I need to get a 4 or 5 inch exhaust on it first so it'll breathe properly.

Josh didnt tell me what you ran... What did you run?

15.7, which I think was the run that Josh made a 15.2. I almost crapped my pants to see he wasn't pulling away all that fast.

Also, as a general warning to all, don't let Josh drink Vault before spending any length of time with him.

LMAO!! Thanks for the warning:crazy:

Damnit Mike, pretty soon I won't be able to give you crap about anything. You're improving your times and not babying your car (although if I was you I would be...). I'm impressed!

The above comment a result of the above action

Something about Festiva and SVTOA don't go together :nonono:  At least all of the Mustangs can get a good look at the Festiva going slow as hell before you do the motor swap. Next year they'll laugh as you roll up and then cry after you leave them at the starting line.
