Well i have had some hids for a while now and they have been working just fine. Well yesterday i noticed one light was out. I checked all connections, wire, bulb, fuse and they all look fine. I bought these on a group buy a while back. What else do i need to check since i have never really dealt with hids before? How do i know if a ballast is bad? Bulb?(not burned looking) Any help is welcomed.

Easiest thing is to check for power at the fuse going to the ballast because even though you checked the fuse as good, doesn't mean it is getting power, then swap parts from one side to the other.

First try switching the lamps from side to side:
SAME SIDE OUT: lamps are ok
OTHER SIDE OUT: side that is out has bad lamp

If it has external ignitors, swap those and try it again:
SAME SIDE OUT: ballast is bad
OTHER SIDE OUT: side that is out has bad ignitor

Then swap ballasts from side to side:
SAME SIDE OUT: wiring issue before ballast (i.e. ballast not getting power/proper ground)
OTHER SIDE OUT: side that is out has bad ballast

Just some basic troubleshooting ;)
