Just finished one side of the Warmonger rear brake upgrade...not too complicated, but took a lot of grinding and fitting to get it right...

The rotors will be powder-coated to match the fronts once the weather gets nice again and I have a chance to test them to make sure everything is working properly...

That's something I'm going to look into doing eventually. I just need to find someone who doesn't need their front assembly from the SVT.

Looks pretty good though.

i would say more aesthetics. if you're using the same caliper/pad you're not getting any increase in swept area....might help some with fade due to there just being more metal to heat up - but it's not like the rear brakes are overworked in the first place.

personally, if i were looking for performance i'd go with the TCE big brake kit. That guy todd has a major attitude problem, but his product is good.

If i were looking to fill up my 18" wheels only i'd look for the warmonger kit.

I've thought about it before...look at glens car - the rear brakes look tiny in those rims. But the only reason i didn't is cause i'd want to go with a full baer front/tce rear upgrade. But i tend to go all out or do nothing at all.

I understand your point, but many people have already argued that and were proven wrong. When the brackets were first being developed, DemonSVT was part of the testing and reported, I believe, a decrease of 3' in stopping distance with the addition of the rear brake conversion versus just using the FSVT rotors on the front...if still curious, all of the info. is in the old forums. :)

I guess 3 feet is the difference between hitting something and not hitting something.

I guess with the pad making contact higher on the rotor it is having more contact just because of the greater circumference of the rotor. I hate physics.

How much did that run anyway?? There's no real point in me pricing out parts now (lol) but if it were only a couple hundo i'd still prob go with the tce.

Where did you get the gold caliper paint? I used duplicolor before and they don't have gold. My paint flaked off throughout the winter and will need a respray... and i'm thinking gold.

Eastwood Gloss Gold #10278Z at $39.99. It's a two-part epoxy paint that seems to hold up well and is a really nice color when seen in person. It appears to closely match the gold color used on the Brembo calipers for one of the 350Z factory sport packages...

haha... you know, now that you said that, I just remembered that I was parked right next to you at Carlisle and I think I asked the same question there.

Thats alot for caliper paint... but if it wont come off when blasted with a pressure washer (what the hoses are at the local quarter car wash) then it would be worth it over using duplicolor again and having to redo it in a year...
