I have a 98 contour svt that i just picked up again
133k on it

If you drive the car easy.meaning no higher then 3500 to 4k in each gear car drives great and still gets good mileage

Now once i want to get on it it seems to cut out a little till it gets high enough rpms then its fine.

If i was in 5th on the freeway and wanted to down shift the car would bog down a bit, like a surge or miss. Will do this in all gears if your rpms arent high enough

the car also does this when your idleing and decide you want to rev the car up wot,but if you do it slowly it wont

i have no cel light on,changed the air filter and plugs all looked great. No engine noise or anything weird

I'd change your wires also. Go with either Taylor Thundervolt 8.2mm, stock ford wires, or autolite wires. I had the same problem, and found out it was just the wires. Make sure you reset the ecu when your done by either disconnecting the neg battery cable for awhile, or pulling fuses #4 and #11 in the power distribution box under the hood.

good luck...

Reebs

Edit: Many people have had success with Magnecore wires also. However they carry a heavy price tag.

My bet is on a dirty MAF sensor. I'd say spray some electronics cleaner on the MAF element and clean up the housing real good. While you are at it, remove the throttle body and clean the EGR passages with some Berryman's. And while you are at that, go ahead and remove the UIM and LIM and do a thorough cleaning. It wouldn't hurt to have some new gaskets handy for all of the reinstallation. LIM, UIM, and TB gaskets. This could very well be plug/wire issue ass well. Check your plug gap. On SVT's, pregapped = wrong gap.

removing the uim and lim is somthing im not going to attempt.
Im going to pick up some tb cleaner and injector cleaner and see what happens.

Once the vehicles rpms are high enough i have plenty of power to 6k without any problem
