Going off this:
Left Door (Driver) Mirror
- White/Red
- up/down (becomes White/Black on car side of connector)
- White/Blue
- left/right (becomes White/Violet on car side of connector)
- Yellow
- Some mumbo-jumbo stuff you are not concerned with!
- Black
- Ground for heater element
- Violet/Orange
- +12V for heater element from Fuse 19
Right Door (Passenger) Mirror
- Yellow/Green
- Some mumbo-jumbo stuff you are not concerned with!
- White/Violet
- left/right (becomes White/Blue on car side of connector)
- White/Black
- up/down (becomes White/Red on car side of connector)
- Black
- Ground for heater element
- Violet/Orange
- +12V for heater element from Fuse 19
Door mirror control switch Orange/Yellow to Fuse 34. Black to ground
Your currently installed mirrors are identical to what he posted... now armed with that information, let's tackle your heated mirrors.
What does your car's connector look like? Does it physically plug into the heated mirrors, but only has 3 wires?
If that was a YES, then I'd use an educated guess and say that the mirrors probly operate now, just need to wire up the other 2 wires to +12V and ground.
If that was a NO, then you'll have to use judgment and wire it up. See what happens when you start hooking stuff up. I highly doubt you can screw this up.
Just start randomly connecting the 3 wires, matching colors wherever possible, and try the switch out. See if it moves properly. If it doesn't move properly (like doesn't move at all, goes L/R when you moved it U/D, you need to swap at least 2 wires).
With my limited knowledge (only what has been posted in this thread), I've come up with this for you to try out first.
Just don't hook up the +12V from fuse 19 yet... that could screw up the motor! Just play around with the 3 wires your car has until you figure out which ones are controlling the mirror... Then by process of elimination, the last 2 have to be for the heating element.
Driver side:
- Red
- coincides with white/red above!
- up/down (becomes White/Black on car side of connector)
- Blue
- coincides with white/blue above!
- left/right (becomes White/Violet on car side of connector)
- Black
- gonna guess this coincides with the yellow wire above...
- Some mumbo-jumbo stuff you are not concerned with!
- Black
- +12V from fuse 19 -or- Ground (think it matters, just a heating element!)
- Black
- Ground -or- +12V from fuse 19 (think it matters, just a heating element!)
Passenger side:
- Green
- Seems to coincide with the Yellow/Green above
- Some mumbo-jumbo stuff you are not concerned with!
- Purple
- Probly coincides with White/Black (or maybe the White/blue on the car side)
- left/right (becomes White/Blue on car side of connector)
- Black
- Probly coincides with White/Purple above
- up/down (becomes White/Red on car side of connector)
- Black
- +12V from fuse 19 -or- Ground (think it matters, just a heating element!)
- Black
- +12V from fuse 19 -or- Ground (think it matters, just a heating element!)
Of course, I could be steering you wrong, and if you go playing around could destroy the mirror and/or your switch!
