Well I had decided a while back to take my headlights apart, and I have had the one apart for a while now. I just havent had the time to start working on them. Well I started the drivers side tonight. I am not sure about whether or not I wanna paint them inside or not. After I hopefully finish what I have in mind for the lights I will decide what color to go with.

This is where they are at now.

You have to remember this headlight use to have about a cup of water in it.

Those 7mm bolts that hold the bulb housing on sure are hard to get out.

Right now Im kinda thinkin about not painting them, and just leaving the surround as you see it above. But Im not sure yet. As for the rest of it, I am being lazy.

Seriously though. I havent had alot of time to perfect the idea I have in mind. Mostly just waiting to save up some more money.

I followed the basic procedure. Preheat oven to 350, then i just threw the light in the oven on a baking sheet and left it in about five minutes. One time I had it in though, I left it in to long and it melted the edge of the clear part.

As these are kinda a test run on what im doing with them its not a big deal to me.

 Its not easy. But its not that difficult either. I like doing stuff like this so its an enjoyable experience for me. I cant wait till I get mine done. I hope what I wanna do with them will work out right.

Well im still moving along very sluggishly. It is the holiday season. But they should be done in a couple weeks probably. Depending on how motivated I get. Hightowering them isnt the only thing im doing. So stayed tuned for some excitment. ;)

How did you achieve that finish?
Just sanding?
Please explain...
Looks like brushed stainless…
Sorry, I completely forgot about this thread. I have been pretty busy with work and stuff, so I haven't gotten much done with them. I achieved the look you see by simply using steel wool on them. It took some time, but I like how it looks. There aren't finished yet but hopefully soon.

No because they are not actually done:)
I put the projector, but don't have a shroud yet(still looking) and thats why the lighting output is very poor.
I will take picz like that but they will be completely done in a week or two.
I am also planning to put a H3 projector for the high beams!
Don't know if its going to work...

There u go...

There is no lenses,bc i have to clean them very well or put new ones..dont know yet!

The light pattern is awful with them:nonono:
