I beg to differ. I used toothpaste and it passed. But 6 weeks later, it went back to yellow again. I have not had a chance to polish and then to clearcoat it yet. If all you need is to pass inspection, all those posted methods should work.
The only people in Richmond, VA who I can find to restore the headlamps on my 00 SE are Merchant Tire & Auto. They have a chemical they put on for $99 but event that did not work too well. The Body Shops I had talked to did not seem to know anything about sanding. Maybe they just didn't want to do such a small job.
