Headlight Conversion

i was also going to tackle this project. just making a mold of the lens either to make clear lenses or to make a fiberglass one that would be worked to make a cover like the morette does take forever.

csvt49, id like to see some pictures of what you have done with foam.

after the sideskirts and hood work im doing are done i might play with this idea alittle more. summer needs to get here so i can have a good amount of time to work on things.

I threw it out. It was a disaster. Probably better off trying to mold a plug out of clay. My objective would be to maintain the use of the OEM lense and provide an adjustable mounting for the projectors. I have everything to do this but the clay. The clay that would be needed is pretty spendy. I would need to invest about $140 in clay.

If you can create these headlights put me on the list.

As a jumping off point, why not just remove everything from the assembly except for the little bit of structure you would need for the mounting points. I mean cut away everything, not just remove the parts that bolt on. :)

Hightower and I discussed doing this with the mondeo morettes but once you get the sections right up to eachother you see that there is no way that is happening. Here is a pic of the rear section of the contour light and the mondeo morette front...

Good info there Mikey, I just mentioned this as an option to make custom mounting for projectors. I guess I should have quoted CSVT#49's post.
