Has anyone tried a variable geometry turbo already?

It is an awesome concept, but just like vvt, it would be alot of work to get it to work properly.
My thoughts exactly. Consider this, I have a VGT on my diesel. In shopping for turbo upgrades, the only VGT's are enhanced versions of the oem. Anything remotely outside that box swaps you into a non-VGT with wastegate. If big name aftermarket suppliers don't want to supply a tune to match to an existing turbo setup, how much luck will the average Joe have at making one work properly?
