For all of us who are completely ignorant about drag racing, what is so special? I mean, that car is awsome, do not get me wrong... Is it just the fact that it was the first Z to get into the 8's? :shrug:

lets look at it this way... between the time it takes for this car and the known fastest tour to get to the end of the strip, derek fisher from the lakers would have sunk 11 almost half court basket ball shots :laugh:. its a big deal to get into single digits.

i guess it depends on who it is. if you own a company and have a lot of resources at your disposal, then no, single digits is not a big deal.

heck, we have a guy in my car club who is a full-time college student who built an 8-second camaro himself.
