Steve I would just take SHOgoFast up on his offer and get this thing going. Looks like he is ready to ship a set out as long as he can get them back.

Right! I don't see why anyone here *wouldn't* have the braces.

Soon after I got my SVTC, I had my brother drive it so I could drive along side and look (drool) at it. I saw the front bumper cover flopping around and thought that wasn't right... and also realized that's why the light from my fogs were shaky. So the braces were my first mod.

Ive got extra braces but no hardware I could donate for shipping costs.

Steve answer my pm too

I thought about that..... So I figured Ill just wait outside your door step and "check your" merchandise for you :) Then calmly walk away. This is going to look great on your car, btw.

hey guys, SHOGOFAST was cool enough to send me his to put on the car. im going to try to get them on in the next few days or over the weekend so i can get the car over to ED early next week.

i assume these things are self explanatory for the install? any pics of them installed? that way its easy and i can just get them in and the car over to them already.

Steve,

Let me know when you can get down there. I will have to let them know because they are pretty busy and will have to let me know what day will work for them.

The brace install is pretty straightforward. Mount the end of the long side to the tab that sticks out from the bumper cover. From there, mount it to a metal plate that's welded to the subframe. Once it's mounted to the bumper cover, it's pretty obvious where it goes if you swing the brace around.

just figured it out. thanks morbid for your description and mattyk via text.

its not doing much for my bumper. maybe pulling it tauter(word?) slightly.., certainly not pushing it out. i also have a fiberglass mirko on my bumper right now which may be pulling it out some. im going to rip that off. seems almost likes glued on in the front middle...

i did and they look lol. i just need to forward them from my iphone.

it appears that when my buddy owned the car, whomever he had install the mirko apparently "riveted" it on with some plastic rivets. and they were visible too! i had to break them off to get them out. then there was some industrial strenth CRAZY strong black adhesive holding the mirko on nice and tight. stuff works GOOD! too bad the mirkos all jacked up.

ps if anyone in the socal area wants to buy a cheap mirko to try to fix ive got one here.

yes they should most definitely be able to ship before july. i will set my car on fire if theyre not all already shipped out by then!! lol

here is the bumper stay. here im just holding it in my hand and took a cell pic which i forwarded to mattyk right then and there to see if that was the correct mounting point

here are the holes from the installation of the mirkko. using some kind of plastic rivets. they were visible, and looked ugly
