I recenlty purchased a set of 205/55/16 Triple Treads for my '03 Focus ZX3. I had my first real snow experience w/ them last week and I was very happy with the results! A burst of heavy snow came through norhtern VT that covered the road w/ 2-3" of sloppy, wet snow. As long as I was easy on the throttle, these tires pulled me along just fine. Too much throttle and they would spin (just like my Blizzaks on my SVT use to do), but taking it easy make sense in this type of weather anyways:cool:

To summarize:

Dry: haven't found this limits yet
Wet: almost as good as dry
Snow: got me home in a storm!

Dry: haven't found this limits yet
Well granddad, you gotta drive the car hard to find the limits. And in the case of triple treds with their hard compound, I use the term drive the car hard very loosely. Not even close to a almost sort of performance tire. They just made the tread pattern look performancy though it looks like it probably works ok in rain.

"Grandad"???? Not quite yet (actually, not for atleast 18 years....).

Have you driven on a set of these tires?

I have Perilli PZero Nero M&S on my CSVT and I would say that the compound on those feel about the same as the compound on the Goodyear 3treads (in terms of hardness). There's a lot more than rubber hardness/softness that goes into traction generation.

In terms of "driving hard," that's what my CSVT is for. My ZX3 is my rain/snow vehichle, so these tires are more than adequate for the driving that I'll do in this vehicle.

you work for goodyear, eh?

wanna help a CEGer out?
