Goodbye Lincoln MKS...Hello Taurus SHO!

I dig the Lincoln version of the car on looks, but the Taurus SHO name has a lot of cachet. I wish it came with a stick, and that it was lighter (at my size, not sure smaller's going to fly). AWD is nice, but if you're looking for power combined with fuel economy in an EcoBoost engine, it's kind of counter-intuitive.

I hear there's a freshening in the works already, as they realised it ain't quite an SHO yet. The report I read stated that it's slated for 2012, so it won't look like they're admitting they were off the mark.

The performance package includes suspension setup with rear springs that are 9 percent stiffer, dampers that are 20 percent stiffer, plus a stiffer rear antiroll bar. The electrically boosted power steering gets a more responsive calibration, and a Sport mode for the stability control is more tolerant of enthusiastic driving. And finally the package has a shorter 3.16:1 final-drive ratioupgraded brake pads, a more aggressive calibration on the electric steering rack, more aggressive tune on the stability control system and faster 3.16 final drive ratio over the standard 2.77, Goodyear Eagle F1 tires on twenty inch wheels.

Thanks Todd:troutslap:

IMO this is a "must have" option for only $995!

I forgot the guys name but I believe he'sm in Florida and has a very simple CAI on it also. Very impressive for a CAI/tune with the Track option SHO.

And everyone was making a big deal about the G8 being faster etc stock...and everyone kept telling them wait for mods to hit.

If that is all it takes for it to be one second faster, imagine with turbos, intercoolers, exhaust etc. Then again imagine what the tranny will do.

I agree that this Taurus is large but cars in this range have gotten larger. The current Fusion would be a better comparison to the old SHO, so the new SHO being compared to the old one, in terms of size, is somewhat apples to oranges IMO.

I love the new Taurus and MKS. They are both

These two cars can best be described as "handsome" IMO...

its been a question in my head of if taht Twin hairdryer motor will fit in our cars, i wanta get a engine and try but thats a lota dang moneys

What are G8's running moddified. And yes that is a serious question not trying to flame bait anyone.

The average about 13.6 stock

What kind of mods?

Intake + tune - Low 13's
I/H/E + tune - High 12's
Magnacharger - Low 12's - High 11's
Cam/Heads/I/H/E - Low 12's

A lot of work can be done to a G8 as its a simple motor that is easily modded. I would suggest you visit www.g8board.com
