Not trying to restart the whole debate here. Just letting folks know that I finally got my Thrush glasspack on and it sounds sweet! :cool: Im now runnin' MSDS into stock Y, then the glasspack back to stoick mufflers. Just the right sound for me, loud when I get on it, but not ricey at all. Just decided to share. Hope everyone's havin' a good summer.
 
Yes, it's not optimized.....YET!!!! It really made a noticable difference when combined w/ the headers. I think the optimized Y will help a bit more. And just for the record, it sat for 6 months, and 15 days. :blackeye: :laugh: If anyone wants to hear it, I'm working the cruise this Friday, so the car will be there. Cmon down and check it out, I'll be in the Pizza Hut booth, sellin food. :laugh: Gotta pay for mods somehow. :cool:
 
do we get a ceg discount. lol i might try and make it down this friday. you gotta here kristens exhaust now since we got the duals on and a new glass pack. :) not as loud and raspy at mid rpm.. got more thoat to it now.
 
If i ever get to hear this coveted sound from the glasspack...I may follow suit. Christine has one...and I've never heard it out of all the times I've been down there. :laugh:
 
i plan on getting a glasspack this weekend, ive got msds headers too and stock everything else.

now how long does it take before you here the glasspack, because my friend had one on his truck and it sounded barely louder when he put it on, then he moved for the summer and i heard it like 6 months later and it sounded ballz!
 
and what should i do, red cherry bomb or dynomax cherrybomb?

and i just remembered this, i have a 2" red cherry bomb at my friends house somewhere, if i put that on would it be restrictive since its only 2"?
 
don't do anything less than 2.25 dia resonator if your running stock SVT exhaust. All your doing w/ the 2" cherry bomb is replacing the stock bottle neck w/ another bottleneck.

True. :cool: I personally went with a Thrush brand from Summit, about $21 shipped. :cool: :laugh: Luca has told me that over time, it will get a bit louder as the packing settles, so we'll see. For $20, it's hard to beat.

Oh I know that sound, it sounds real good! :)
Steph (Joel4Prez) has the same set up on her SE and it sounds really good.

Double walled tips are going to look cool.
