Gingerman during SZ07

THe 2.5L valves are in there. I had ADC tune my car, sort of, but they skipped out without finishing it so i'm having Warmonger help me retune.

I dont get what your saying about the tires. Adding a taller tire would seem like it would increase sidewall flex. The formula sounds interesting though I'd like to check it out.

when you go a size skinnier you have to compensate for height aka taller sidewall spec. all the 50 is is a ratio of sidewall to tread. when you have a 50 profile sidewall it means the sidewall is half the width of the contact patch. a 45 profile is 45% of the contact patch and so on and so forth. so if the tread is skinnier then in order to keep the sidwall the same height you want to have a higher percentage of the contact patch...make sense? and the theory works the same way those safety glass hammers work. you can hit a piece of glass pretty hard with a hammer and it wont break because the force is spread out over a great area if you make that area smaller then the same striking force becomes much greater thus broken glass. the same works for tires and grip to a point.

heres a real easy one... if the tires arnt scrubbing you arnt going fast enough

why do you think hondas are such quiet cars??? they cant go fast enough...

From what little time my car spent on the track in 08 my care felt totally different from the last time I had gone just because of adding a harness.

With just regular seat belts i spent more effort keeping myself in the seat than steering.

Man hector, were you being a wussy on the straights too? :-P

225's are still too small. Get some 235's on some decent wheels.

have any of you guys heard of "locking in?" autocross seatbelt locking. standard cars have locking seatbelts. just slide the adjuster all the way down. get the seatbelt nice and tight across your lap and give it a quick tug at the top till it locks. then slide the adjuster up till it holds you firmly in the seat. there you go a 3 point racing harness! the other belts in the car you just pull all the way out and let them go and they lock:( thought about just pulling one of those in my drivers side

rkneeshaw i just finished watching your video all the way through other than keeping your hands on the wheel (which locking in will help you with), do you know how to heal and toe double clutch? it will help you with your down shifts tremendously! and dont be afraid to shift a little harder

when is SZ08 and where id like to go!

dope! sweet i might be able to go. ive never had my car on a registered track. i just autocross so this should be an awesome experience! hope i can get the money!
