G'daaaaaamit I f'n hate people!!!!!!!!

Ever see Dazed and Confused? Bowling ball through the rear window? Same thing but with a giant rock. If a vehicle is traveling 30-40 mph when the rock is pitched the damage is going to be great.

Absolutely true. At one time my Mom and neighbor owned very similar cars; she parked in the garage, he parked in the street. Both older and in mint condition, someone came truckin' along and threw a similar sized rock at my neighbor's car, and totalled it. Smashed the hood in and destroyed the windshield.

I have my suspicions who it was to this day, but I could never prove it. I managed to bomb their house with hardboiled eggs. You should hear those things bounce off the window shutters!!!

Any insurance agency that would say a car hit it is just retarded. I've never seen one car hit another and not transfer ANY paint or leave some sort of scuffing. Basic forensics, Locards Exchange Principle, whenever 2 objects come in contact with one another, there is an exchange of material.

effing retarded. I didn't even know the car was yours todd.

hard boiled eggs? doesn't that defeat the purpose?

i didn't think about someone throwing it from a moving vehicle...

now why couldnt that have happened to my SHo before i sold it?
i would have gotten more for it thru insurance than i sold it for!

I couldn't help but think this exact same thing.

Hmmmmm, rock going through the rear = $3000.00 check.

Selling outright and getting lowballed = $800 sale. :blackeye:

Not at all. More weight to slam shutters into bricks. Resulting sound is that of a small handgun  As far as throwing rocks from cars well, that's crossing the line. Something I never even thought about when doing little pranks back in the day.

This thread makes me wish I could prove these people threw the rock through my neighbors car.

that sucks.

maybe i suck at physics, but unless the hulk threw that rock i don't see how that happened.

We used to do this with shopping carts in my hometown, except not into people's cars. I worked at the walmart there and at lunch break we'd drive two cars towards each other holding a shopping cart out the window, drive to about 50kph and swerve off letting the carts collide. We had pumpkins in the carts and we'd make bets on which ones would survive. The ammount of damage to the cart was ridiculous. Now imagine a huge rock being thown from a car moving that fast, or even faster.

Someone needs a bat in the back of the head swung from a car going by.
