Joe,

I'll take just (1), my car has the passenger side one, just not the driver side. Let us know when to paypal!

I'm not sure if beefing up the bars is a smart idea. Wouldn't that just cause the bar to stay in place and the bumper to crack if enough force was put on it? I would think the best option would be the factory bars. They stiffen up the bumper but at the same time allow it to move if needed.

It's your call guys, beefier or factory. The bar will stay in place if it is thicker or just OEM. The bars won't cause any further damage to bumpers. If you bottom out enough to crack your bumper, it has nothing to do with the bars.

not to limit sales or whatever but keep in mind if you put something this rigid on the corners of your front bumper, and you happen to pull up a little to far to a curb or find yourself entering/leaving a driveway that is to damn steep you wont bend your bumper anymore, stuff will start to crack or even break.

just a heads up

Also these were standard on the 95-97 se contours

If you are that worried about running into curbs when parking, then you could have used plastic plugs. The cougars all came with these bumper supports, only they had plastic plugs at the bumper, you hit something hard enough, the plastic bends or breaks.

solution found :)

That sounds good, if you want a "break away" point then I would put a plastic plug where the arm meets the bumper. Thanks for that info.

when do you need the money Joe?

You probably don't have them, but if you do you'd see them (in plain sight) in the front fender wells attaching the corner of the bumper to the frame.
