Gas station-1 Mirko-0

Well.. from a guy who's been through two of them, I love the way they look but sometimes it's just not worth it... I lost my last one in a puddle from a down-pour :( Hit an apparent low spot where a lot of water gathered and dragged it straight down under my car... yeah.. it was awesome </3

That sucks man....that must of been a big ass puddle:shocked:

I had a similar experience with my mirko at a gas station. Mine wasnt nearly as bad but it did break the rivets off the sides and make the mirko fall off. I was driving over the gas lids and since they are raised the mirko hit first. I needed to get the mirko repainted along with fixing the skid plate because it was slightly bent.

jeez guys

i scrape my mirko w/skidplate almost daily.. i guess the only reason it's never pulled underneath the car is because I always scrape at an angle, never straight on.

I'll also mention my bumper has TONS of give. You can seriously lift the mirko up a good two inches, and the bumper itself travels another inch.

ohhh fords :)

there wasnt even 1/4 inch of snow on the ground. just as we were leaving, malcolm says "maybe we should take off the mirko... ehhh :censored::censored::censored::censored: it"

I hate when that :censored::censored::censored::censored: happens. Especially when you know something bad could happen and your saying it to warn everyone around you...and then boom.

Doesn't matter. It was enough to hide everything.

I still can't believe he drives around with it on in the snow:shrug:

With all the throw back from other cars all winter i would hate seeing the mirko gunked up:nonono:

I don't drive it, first time it's been on the road since October. I have a 97 civic for daily driving.

I don't see what the big deal with winter driving a Mirko, hell I ran mine through two winters and it was fine. Damaging a mirko is all part of owning it...As they say stuff happens.

At LEAST two 'unexpected' inches deep haha... But oh well.. I'd love to get a new one, I still have my mounting holes in my bumper, and it teases me everyday haha :) Need some new shocks and tires first though :)
