im not planning on doing a full led taillight, more of a trim ring of leds around the existing light. once i get into it il decide.im pretty good with wiring and electronics so i think its doable. but thanks for the input all is appreciated.

actually some of those pics gave me some good ideas, personally i dont like that many leds. im thinking maybe 20-30 around the existing bulb in a circle pattern or maybe oval like a ford symbol.i can add in the let replacement taillights and see what those look like too but id rather not mangle the assembly too much

The G35 tail I believe only has a ring of LED's i.e. no center bulb.
The ring is what looks great. That's what I would want as opposed to a ring around a halogen bulb.

i was just gonna put a ring in there for now just to get an idea of what it looks like and if it looks ok then ill figure out how to make the ring the tails like half bright for markers then full for brakes, maybe a smaller ring on the side for a turn signal?

Yea that's the ticket. Except it might not be worth it to make another ring for the turn signal. I don't think there is enough room plus I think it would be much easier wiring wise to have the ring blink half bright to full bright for turn signal.
