ok question number one what is the secret to pulling the fuel line off of the top of the fuel pump top right beside the wiring plug underneath the seat.

can you buy just the piece that tells how much fuel you have not the arm just the little plate with two wires running to it somehow mine got broke and now gas gauge is innacurate.

one more lol where is the scrader valve (heard it was underneath the throttle body with a blue cap but cant seem to see it

thanks

To get the fuel line off, you just squeeze the sides and pull it off

The schrader valve is right next to the pressure regulator... on the fuel line, under the throttlebody. It probably has a black plastic cap screwed onto it.

The fuel level board.... dunno.

He has a 2000 with returnless. There is no fuel pressure regulator. The fuel pump is different too.

You may find some of what you are trying to learn if you find the fuel pump replacement how to.

Maybe someone more familiear with the returnless system can speak up.

Best bet is to go to a junkyard and pull the piece you need as i've never seen it listed at the dealership.

I had that on my SVT when I bought it. The board was cracked in half. Fortunately I upgraded to the newer style which replaces the housing.

But, this also requires a "dealership only" tool to cut out the lock-ring as the newer pump setup is spring loaded. I know someone who works for a ford dealership so I just had him bring it home one night.

If you have more questions post here. I've done quite a few returnless pump pulls/swaps...

Actually.. I have a returnless 2000, and my information was accurate. Er... except I should have said fuel pressure sensor instead :)

When you look under your throttlebody from the front of the car, you should see the fuel line. Looking at it from left to right, you'll see the schrader (might have the cap on it), then a 2 screw flange, then the sensor, then the spring loaded a/c type connection.

I just looked in my garage. I have my old fuel pump assembly. PM me your address and I'll mail you the fuel level board off of it.

The in-tank lock ring can be easily removed with a low profile utility knife. That's how I did mine, and another local CEG'ers.
