Front (segmented) axle nut removal

I changed the wheel bearing on the front axle. Had to order in the axle nut from the dealer. In the meantime (to get the car off the jacks), I installed the old axle nut temporarily. The new nut arrived, but now I can't get the old nut off (just spinning).

After hours, I broke the sheet metal 'cage' of the nut and tried to remove the individual 'segments'. I managed to get all but the last 2 off.

Any suggestions how to get the remaining ones off?

I turns freely.
I tried to use a chisel to get under the corners, but it is in a 'hole' (from the hub ring that extends outwards), so the angle is steeper than 45 degree.

not sure wath 'x's 2' means.
Have a dremel, but not sure if I can reach in there. I will try my small diamond cutoff wheel and see if I can reach the 2 remaining discs.
