Last week, my brother got himself a new ride, a 2004 Mistu Ralliart Lancer Wagon. Gas was just too much for his truck. Anyway, we got a bit of snow, and I'm due for new tires, really, really due. :o I couldn't make it home, so I stopped at his house so I didn't freeze to death. When he got his car, we said we should go for a ride together. Looks like it's not happenin' tonight. We swept out his parking spot, and yes, that is his car "floating" on the snow from today.

Man, I hate winter about now.

I talked to my mom today and she said they got 6 inches and there were 2 more on the way up at IUP. We have none, which is the only thing that I actually like about Philly. Though we are suppost to get an inch over night, but I doubt we'll even get that. I'm still trying to figure out why I've even put my winter rims/tires on.

We got about 8-10in the last few days... plus my car told me that it was 0 degrees last night:shocked: CANT WAIT FOR SPRING!!!

We got like 6 inches last night, wake up today, all of it's gone! Heck the roads were better today than they were yesterday before the snow hit!

Strangely, I'm not sick of winter yet. Despite so many small snowstorms, we haven't seen a good true blizzard with a few feet of snow yet .... I think that's why.

We keep getting hammered here. First we got some freezing rain and ice. We then got a good foot of heavy snow. Then 2 days later another 10". So all the snow got packed down and there is a perfectly slick layer of ice under all the snow. I got stuck 11 times getting out of my driveway. The car can't get traction, and if you give it too much gas, the tires melt through the ice and the car gets stuck in a rut.

I'm totally sick of winter and ready to move to Florida. Our summers seem to be just as hot/humid as they are down there.

It's crazy!! I grew up near Saratoga, now living in Alaska and there is more snow in NY now than we have in AK!! It's been a WILD winter up here this year. I don't miss the salted roads though.

In the last two snowfalls we got about 6 in. and 2 in. This was the FIRST time in the 17 yrs. that I've lived here that our road got plowed more than once, it was even opened all the way, curb to curb.  I am friggin impressed! Normally we get one pickup truck that plows our street. One and a half passes with the pickup is all we normally get.

We even got the liquid calcium crap on our road for both storms. It's not like we get salt on our road (not unless we call and ASK for it) but the liquid crap has made our road, for the first time in YEARS, perfectly clear. No driving on solid ice for days at a time until the sun melts it. I'm impressed.

So Scott, did you get new tires yet?
