Fitting MSDS Headers

Exactly, but he says the MSDS headers have moved that point of most head, from where the metal is, to where the rubber is.

This does worry me slightly too :(

I don't see what Marty can/should do. The headers are the same as they've been for who knows how long. If it hasn't been damaged in shipping, (which it probably hasn't), and if you dont like how the lines run close to the pipes, then find a way to reroute it. extend the rubber part, or make a metal part to pass by. I'm sure with a little bit of finess(sp?) everything will be fine.

Maybe you could get a high temp hose/hose cover, split it open and wrap the hose in question in that so that it won't bump into the hot header? Just an idea you may try.

Yep, that is the exact plan - we've no idea what to use though.

Relax, i'm not expecting a refund. I was expecting this to have been an issue before, and for him to be able to offer advice. Perhaps not though.

Honestly I'd just use a larger split piece of heater hose. On my turbo mazda where the coolant lines actually touch the turbo that is basically what came from the factory as a heat shield and almost 200,000 miles later the hoses underneath the sheath are still peachy.
