I finally got sick of my terribly hazed headlights so I decided to fix them. I figured it'd be easier to wetsand just the lenses. So I baked the lights and hightowered them while I had them apart.

The previous owner had crappy vinyl eyelids, so only the bottom half hazed.

All Done

And installed...

They look awesome. I've been wanting to do this pretty bad. Just don't have the time right now. Any tips?

A few:

1. When you paint the housings, sand the reflective part extra, extra well. I kind of just scuffed mine up and I had lots of problems with the paint peeling and flaking off with the masking tape.
2. When your trying to get the glue out of the housing, use a hot hair dryer to heat it up and a small screw driver. It makes it 100 times easier. I didn't figure this out until the second...
3. Hand sanding works much better. I tried a palm sander on the first lense, and although it was much faster, I missed a lot of parts I didn't realize I had.
4. Take your time. I rushed mine because I'm headed back to school on Sunday and it really shows when you look at them close.

Its really much easier than I expected. Just a little time consuming. I actually had to drive to Roseville halfway through finishing the second lense so I just screwed the housing back in and taped the lense in, lol. It's definitely worth the time and work tho.

Uh, white SVT.....

Snow, crappy, camera and dusk...
I wish it was white!
