I have been driving the SVT daily for about 3 years, driving 29 miles each way to work puts the miles on pretty fast! I had been looking for a cheap honda for a little while now, just when I thought such a thing didnt exist I came across this.......
Picked it up for $600 off of some guy from work. Its a 1997 LX with a 5 speed, and a 143,000 miles. Needs a good cleaning, and the rims aren't in that great of shape but they are 14 inch enkei's wooooohoooooo!!!!!
He was the orginal owner, and I have the orginal sticker. It gets 38mpg's highway, I have every single receipt from service including all oil changes. It has one issue though, whenever the transmission is in gear and you have your foot on the gas it makes a pretty loud grinding noise regardless of what gear you are in or how fast you are going. Take your foot off the gas and the noise stops........if anyone has experiance with hondas, or might now what the problem is shoot me a PM please. The problem started about 2 months ago he said.
So, what do you guys think? Even with the grinding issue I think I got one hell of a deal!
