Alright, picking up my "new" engine Tuesday and am finalizing the list of parts and seals/gaskets I will need for the build. I have found a few differences between Todd and Stazi's 3L build post and the large master parts list that I cannot account for. Specifically...

Crackshaft Oil Seals and Front/Rear Crankshaft Seals? Will I still need to replace these even if I do not disturb the crankshaft?

Harmonic balancer sleeve? Needed? Hell, to be honest I dont even really know what that is.

Camshaft rear seal gasket set? I will be swaping cams so I am assuming I will be needing this but have not found confirmation.

Last part, I believe I read somewhere that Demon prefered the Felpro gaskets over Motorcraft stuff if available. Is that general concensus?

Thats it. As soon as I have these ends tied up Bill J will be getting a call.

Thanks all.

The only things you'll need are 2.5 timing cover and valve cover gaskets since yours will be a little old. You won't need any of those seals harmoni bal. etc. Felpro is fine.

pretty much what todras said.

camshaft seal kit: It's only a few dollars. It for that one water pump driven cam. The seal for where it exits the head, and another for the plate that mounts to the head/cam.

I bought mine and didn't use it because I misplaced it. I just used some good sealant on all mating surfaces...
